Dear parents,
Thank you to everyone who has donated supplies for our writing trays! The kids have been enjoying using them for their letter writing.
Writer’s Workshop: We are continuing to write about how writers can write to make the world a better place. We discussed Earth Day and brainstormed ways to fix problems we see in our homes, at school and in our community.
Science: Our caterpillars are now formed into chrysalis! Our seeds we have planted are now seedlings. We are recording our observations in our science journals.

· This is the last week for sight word homework and assessments. We will be reviewing words in class.
· The Music Program is Sunday May, 4th at 2:00. Kids need to meet in the lobby of the high school at 1:45 and remember…since the program is about ways to stay healthy, the students should wear Work-out / exercise clothes. Colorful sweatbands for wrists or head, tennis shoes, gym pants, whatever makes you think of staying fit.
· Our field trip to Susson Park is May 22nd, in the morning. Please send your child with a snack and drink that is disposable when finished.
