I hope everyone enjoyed the three day weekend!
It is a busy week here at Sappington. Homework starts today. The packet will be in the home folder. Don't forget to complete five activities before Friday. Also, be sure to read for fifteen minutes every night. Sight words will start next week.
Tonight is also our first SPTG meeting. Students are welcome and will be supervised on the playground.
Tomorrow Sappington is holding a fundraiser for the Gapsch family. Mia and Maci Gapsch (sisters) are former Sappington students. Last week they suffered a house fire that took the lives of Maci, her father, and her grandmother. As a Lindbergh family we are trying to do anything we can to help. Tomorrow, for any monetary donation, your child can wear a hat to school. All proceeds will go the surviving sister, Mia. We are also collecting donations of fun-size bags of M&M's. Sperreng students will be hosting M&M'S for Mia and Maci on Saturday morning. Please help if you can.
Friday is Back to Football Friday. We will have an all school assembly to kick off the NFL's Play 60 program. This program asks students to pledge to be physically active for sixty minutes a day. Students are encouraged to wear Rams or football gear to school on Friday. (Shirts, hats, face paint, etc.) We will take a class photo showing our NFL spirit. It will be a fun day!
