Star of the Week!

Weekly Reminders

Just a few reminders this week...

This week we have PE on Monday and Thursday.  We will have library on Tuesday.

Wednesday is an early release day.  Students will be dismissed around 1:40.  Please let me know if your child's transportation plans will be different than normal.

Don't forget the 100th day of school is coming soon.  We have begun to collect canned goods to donate to people in need.  Our goal is to collect 100 cans.  Donations for the 100th day snack have begun to roll in.  Thanks for your generosity.  If you are still interested in helping with preparations for this fun day please email me.  Finally, don't forget to start working on your 100th day shirt or poster!

Lastly, many student's school supplies need to be replenished.  Most could use a new pack of markers and glue sticks.  Please ask your child if there is something they need at school.

Thanks for your help!  Stay warm!!

The 100th day of kindergarten is fast approaching.....

On Friday, January 23rd, the children will be celebrating their 100th day of kindergarten.  We will need your help in providing items for our 100th day snack, bringing in canned goods and in creating a 100 day project to bring to school on that day.

Canned Goods:  On Monday, January 12th, students can start bringing in canned goods.  We will track how many cans we have each day on a 100’s chart.  Our goal is to collect 100 canned goods per class to donate to a local area food bank.  The students can bring cans throughout the week.

100th Day Snack: We will doing an activity with our 100th Day Snack at school. If you signed up on Signup Genius, please send the your item with your child by Thursday, January 15th

100th Day Project:  Please help your child create a 100 day t-shirt or sweatshirt to wear to school on the 100th day by putting 100 of anything on the shirt.  You may want to use fabric paint, crayons, or buttons – be creative! (There are a million ideas on Pinterest)  If you prefer, you may make a collection of 100 things on a poster board.  Either one of these projects would be fine.
Please send/wear the 100 day project to school on the 100th day of school!  If we have any snow days between now and then we will adjust accordingly.    Thank you!

                                               Happy Counting!
(If you would be able to help with snack preparation at home please email me.  Thank you!)
